If you’re reading this, chances are you’re already a cannabis fan — but have you ever thought about weed as a tool for increasing your productivity? For some, maybe, but for most, less likely. Well, it’s time for that to change.
Last month, we invited 100 women to try the Advanced Focus Tincture, a nurse-crafted 6:1:1 blend of CBD, THCV and CBG, and asked them to share their experiences with us. The data was collected during a 4-week engagement in collaboration with MoreBetter, and the results all point in the same direction — more energy, less stress, better mood and an increase in overall well being.
Before embarking on the RWD project, Bloom’s founders already had plenty of patient reports indicating that the tincture can produce a clear-minded focus and act as a natural appetite suppression throughout the day. But they wanted to know for sure.
Because while there is a growing body of knowledge on CBD, clinical research on THCV and CBG is still in its infancy. But there is some emerging research suggesting THCV may be helpful for focus, along with real world data that shows impressive effects on appetite suppression and energy levels. 1
With that in mind, the Bloom tincture was formulated to elevate energy levels, enhance mental sharpness, and boost metabolism, utilizing a full spectrum hemp extract blended with terpenes and botanicals including Reishi mushrooms, Lion’s Mane and Yerba Mate, all of which have been proposed to have benefits on their own.
But could cannabinoids blended with botanicals really improve focus? Here’s what the data showed.
What would you do with an extra two hours in the day?
Over the trial period, participants were regularly asked questions to gauge their energy levels and overall well being. Participants answered questions for a full week before they started trying the product, in order to establish a baseline assessment.
In one of the standout findings, a stark change in the reported hours of productivity was noted – an increase from an average of 4 hours and 24 minutes per day to 6 hours and 42 minutes per day at the end of the three weeks using the tincture. The findings were found to be statistically significant, suggesting the results were not merely due to chance, but rather that people really reported a difference once starting the product.

Supporting those findings, 65 percent of participants agreed at the end of the engagement that they were more productive while using the product, while the likelihood of feeling productive on any given day during the trial increased over time.
“Taken in small doses throughout the day, I experienced more focus and productivity, higher energy levels and an overall sense of calm. I will continue using this product in my daily routine,” one participant said.
In a related metric, the data showed a 40% increase in participants’ ability to stay focused on one specific task, along with a 35% improvement in mind drift.
“It really helped me to find more motivation for staying focused on a task and finding new ways to do things,” one participant said after trying the tincture for three weeks, while another added, “It helped me stay focused and get through multiple projects. I was able to stay on track and be productive.”

Improvements in both mental and physical fatigue
Unsurprisingly, the flip side of energy is fatigue — if you’re feeling low, you’re unlikely to also be energized and focused. Enter THCV and CBG, two “minor” cannabinoids making a name for themselves in the health and wellness space.
The closely related but shorter tailed cousin of THC, THCV is known to have more uplifting and less impairing effects, earning it the nickname “weederall.” Users describe this cannabinoid’s effects as relaxing, euphoric, and energizing, with a clear-minded high that many prefer to the more hazy-minded experience of THC. As a benefit, there is some evidence it may help to reduce appetite, and may also mediate some side effects of THC when taken together. And CBG (cannabigerol), another unique ingredient, has commonly been dubbed “the mother of all cannabinoids” (although that is technically CBGA) and is often touted for its’ focusing and calming effect, though human evidence remains scarce. 234
So, what does the Advanced Focus Tincture do for fatigue? Well, according to the Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS), a 10-item self-report scale that measures both physical and mental symptoms, participants reported a 25% reduction in FAS scores over the 21-day trial period..
Perhaps even more compelling, the results took the cohort from an average FAS score that was close to “severe fatigue,” to being one point away from healthy levels.
Questions relating to energy levels also supported the FAS findings, with a 31% increase in overall energy levels reported, which again was found to be statistically significant.

The Bloom Hemp tincture “gave me a burst of energy and creativity in the morning,” one participant said, while another found it “helped with focus, energy and clarity without any negative side effects.”
Less stressed and better mood overall
Another internationally-recognized scale used in the data collection effort, the WHO-5 well-being index, showed a 43% increase in scores over the duration of the test period. To put that in context, a 10% increase in WHO-5 scores is considered a significant change — so these results point to the product having a serious impact on well being.

And indeed, at the end of the engagement 70% of participants agreed that they were in a better overall mood on the days they used the tincture and 72% felt less stressed while using the product.
“I do think this product helped lift my mood and calmed me,” another user testimony read. “Bloom Hemp’s Advanced Focus did help me to stay focused longer on projects and have the energy to get work done.”
How to use the Advanced Focus Tincture
As well as gaining an understanding of the product’s potential benefits and efficacy, the data collected during this effort provided an indication of the best way to use it.
With around 75% of respondents planning on continuing to use the tincture, their reports can help the brand — and its customers — understand to get the most out of this little bottle.

First up, this is a “use as needed” kind of treatment — there’s no need to take it every day, or at a specific time. Most participants preferred to take it in the morning, which makes sense given that’s when most people want to get stuff done, but there was no indication that it was keeping anyone up at night, either.
The average dose used by participants was about 1mL, and it was taken anywhere between 1-4 times per day. Most users found that one dose each day was enough to get the effects they were after.
Taking real world data findings forward
Bloom Hemp’s founders, veteran cannabis nurses Elisabeth and Sherri Mack, are passionate about helping their patients find relief — so they were tickled to find that many women in the study also reported a decrease in pain when asked to share other positive experiences they had with the tincture.
“It really does help with my pain. I have fibromyalgia, nerve damage, and osteoarthritis. Focus helps to manage it without the use of NSAIDs,” said one participant, while another simply shared, “back pain gone.”
While the data collection effort wasn’t specifically looking into pain, testimonials like these show that, as is often the case with cannabinoid treatments, the THCV-CBG tincture can contribute to across the board improvements in health and wellness.
