Ingredients

cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 2
tablespoons plus two teaspoons cornstarch
- 0.25
teaspoon salt
- 2
egg yolks, lightly beaten
- 1
tablespoon canna-butter plus 1 teaspoon butter
- 2
teaspoons vanilla extract

Whipped cream, optional
Method
- In a small saucepan combine the brown sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add the half and half and yolks and stir till smooth.
- Cook over low/medium heat until mixture comes to a simmer. Stir constantly for 1-2 minutes, until the mixture thickens.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the canna-butter and uninfused butter and vanilla. Allow to cool to room temperature, stirring a couple of times, before chilling for 3-4 hours. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
