    cup dark brown sugar, packed

  • 2

    tablespoons plus two teaspoons cornstarch

  • 0.25

    teaspoon salt

  • 2

    egg yolks, lightly beaten

  • 1

    tablespoon canna-butter plus 1 teaspoon butter

  • 2

    teaspoons vanilla extract

  • Whipped cream, optional

  • 0.5

Method

  1. In a small saucepan combine the brown sugar, cornstarch and salt.  Add the half and half and yolks and stir till smooth.
  2. Cook over low/medium heat until mixture comes to a simmer. Stir constantly for 1-2 minutes, until the mixture thickens. 
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the canna-butter and uninfused butter and vanilla.  Allow to cool to room temperature, stirring a couple of times, before chilling for 3-4 hours. Serve with whipped cream if desired.

  1. tried to follow the recipe for this butterscotch budino and it says add the half and half and yolks, i cant see the half and half in the ingredients but i would like to know what it is
