Cannabinoids In Context

Table of contents

Navigating the invisible systems that impact everyone’s cannabis experience is challenging. There are myriad systems to explore—personal health conditions, appropriate terpenes, effective cannabinoids, favorite strains, and trusted research—in order to find valuable information to help craft one’s mental map and make beneficial decisions. Once this information is encountered, saving it and sharing it with others on a similar journey is almost always done out of context.

This “Cannabinoids in Context” smap provides a whole system view of each cannabinoid in relation to the conditions that it can treat most effectively, with relevant information in context. By placing each cannabinoid in a comprehensive visual system of conditions, the viewer can enter a relatable “big picture” perspective that provides multiple options for discovery and insight generation. Simply follow the tutorial to discover the connections between nodes, create distinct paths through the system, view selected scenes of the system, or play the story of conditions and corresponding healing cannabinoids. At any point in your exploration, simply click on the node associated with the globe icon to access the data and links in the sidebar.

Maporium’s Invitation to Participate

Our “Cannabinoids in Context” is a work in progress. If this way of interacting with the cannabis systems resonates with you, we invite you to:

  • Leave us a comment on what other cannabis smaps you would like to explore.
  • We also welcome your comments on the software, as it is still being refined for initial public release later this fall.
  • If you would like us to share this smap with you, we invite you to sign up for a free trial account during the private beta.
  • This will allow you to begin smapping a mental map of your own cannabis journey and share it with others.

Thank You!

By building a common context of cannabis together, we can all move from curating separate mental maps, that are next to impossible to share, to communicating in a shared visual system that provides deeper comprehension and advances our common understanding of the benefits of cannabis.
