As the body’s largest neuroregulatory system, the ECS governs all 11 organ systems, the immune system, and neurotransmitter signaling, working tirelessly to maintain equilibrium and balance among all systems at the same time.

This statement emphasizes the ECS’s vital role in promoting balance and supporting health across all physiological systems. Professor Di Marzo theorized that the endocannabinoid system (ECS) plays a crucial role in stress recovery, serving as a survival mechanism.
This system, a network of receptors and molecules spread throughout the body, is integral to maintaining balance across our physiological processes. By modulating the autonomic nervous system, endocannabinoids help regulate key functions such as mood, memory, appetite, pain, and sleep.
