Founded in 2012, Fundación CANNA is a non-profit initiative devoted to cannabis research. The initiative is run by the multi-national fertilizer company CANNA España Fertilizantes SL.
Fundación CANNA believes “that everyone has the right to know what they are consuming,” and is devoted to studying the active components of cannabis in order to help consumers obtain the information they need to minimize risk.
The non-profit collaborates with a wide variety of organizations in Europe and North America, including Americans for Safe Access and the International Center for Ethnobotanical Education Research and Service. It also collaborates with and gives financial support to a number of institutions, including the Observatorio Espanol de Cannabis Medicinal and the Observatorio Europeo del Consumo y Cultivo de Cannabis.
