SC (Science of Cannabis) Labs was opened in 2010 by four “activist entrepreneurs” who believed “there should be a consistent way consumers could trust their cannabis and cultivators could improve their products,” according to the company.

SC Labs boasts more than 5,000 clients and a talented team made up of chemists, microbiologists, and scientists from other disciplines. The company operates two labs in California and Oregon, with services ranging from cannabis testing that gauges cannabinoid and terpene profiles, as well as the presence of pesticides, solivents, microbial impurities, heavy metals, mycotoxins, and foreign materials, as well as water and moisture content.

The labs also perform pre-harvest industrial hemp testing and safety and potency testing for hemp cultivators in California and Oregon.
