Few companies and few people have made a bigger impact on cannabis and cannabis culture in the past decade than Berner and Jigga, the team behind Cookies.

Based out of the Bay Area, Cookies operates dozens of dispensaries in California, has its own streetwear brand, and its name and that of its beloved cannabis strains rings out in too many rap songs to list.

The company is best known for strains like Girl Scout Cookies, Cherry Pie, and Gelato, which have left an impact – and their genetics – across countless other premium strains. Each new strain, such as Gary Payton or Cereal Milk, is greeted with hype akin to a major album release. But arguably more than that, Cookies has shown the potential power that lies in branding for cannabis companies.
