Alexandra Chisholm, PhD

Dr. Alexandra Chisholm is currently working as a postdoctoral fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where she is investigating the neural and molecular mechanisms by which CBD acts to reduce the risk of relapse for opioids. Throughout her training, she has developed expertise in a number of experimental techniques including but not limited to bulk and single-cell RNA-sequencing, ATAC sequencing, and in vivo fiber photometry. In addition to research, Alexandra has taught at the university level for the past 5 years in the areas of statistical analysis, fundamentals of animal learning, neurobiology of drug abuse, writing for psychology as well as research communication and proposal writing.
